The CUER facilitated the young people of the Philippine Independent Church of Marikina in preparation for the forum on Peace for Palestine.

The CUER joined AKAP Bata Philippines' dialogue with the Philippine Congress on different issues of Children. The CUER reiterated the position of the NCCP about the welfare of the children.

The CUER Program Secretary trained young people for liturgical celebration of Kairos Philippines (Catholic Charismatic Groups) in preparation for their 10th Anniversary. This was held in Baclran Church.

The CUER Program Secretary gave a talk on the topic of Climate Change, Globalization and the Ecumenical Challenge in the Third National Youth Camp of the Christian Youth Fellowship UCCP held in Ifugao.

A two-day campaign conference facilitated by the Kalipunan ng mga Katutubong Mamamayan ng Pilipinas(KAMP) secretariat was attended by Council leaders from the Cordillera Peoples Alliance(CPA), Balatik, the Central Luzon Aeta Association and other IP organizations from the Cagayan Valley.
The objective of the conference is to assess the 2008 campaign programs and to draw campaign plans and activities for 2009. Among the resolutions is to draw campaign plans against mining plunder of ancestral lands and draw campaign against mining giants. The campaign against political repression and militarization among indigenous peoples are still the major components of the campaign for 2009
